To be eligible for the Competition, a short film must have a duration of less than 15 minutes, including credits. The Cannes Film Festival does not accept films with durations ranging from 15 to 60 minutes.
Note: All short films (from 1 to 35 minutes) can be submitted to the Short Film Corner, a dedicated platform for short films within the Cannes Film Festival. These films can also be proposed to the Directors' Fortnight or Critics' Week, which are parallel sections to the Cannes Film Festival.
